Direction:

Research area: Palaeontology and Stratigraphy

Research interests:

My research is centered on ostracods small, bivalved crustaceans. I mainly focus on their taxonomy and their applications in palaeoenvironment and biostratigraphy. I have undertaken research on Holocene ostracods from Hong Kong, Oligocene ostracods from Tibet and Upper Cretaceous ostracods from the Jiaolai Basin in Shandong Province, China. I am studying the ostracods from the Pingyi Basin (Eastern China) and their significance on the K/Pg boundary and Pleistocene ostracods from two boreholes in the Laizhou Bay of Shandong, China. I also interested in paleoentomology, mainly focus on fossil Orthoptera, study their taxonomy and their applications in palaeoenvironment, biostratigraphy and palaeobiogeography
