Resume:

Dr. Hua Zhang got his Ph.D. in 2005 and he is a professor at Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests focus on the biogeochemistry and palaeoenvironmental background of the critical transitions of deep time, and microspherules in the geological records.

Direction:

  1) The pattern and causes of end-Permian mass extinction;

  2) The environmental background of End-Permian mass extinction;

  3) Microspherules in the geological record;

  4) Late Paleozoic global fossil databases and palaeobiogeography.
