       黎巴嫩大学Dany Azar教授目前担任国际古昆虫学会(IPS)主席、世界琥珀理事会(WAC)副主席以及黎巴嫩古生物与演化联合会(APEL)主席,从事琥珀生物学(尤其是琥珀昆虫)研究近二十年,在白垩纪琥珀生物群研究领域取得了一系列的研究进展,发现多个重要昆虫类群的最早化石记录,为昆虫起源和早期演化提供了直接的化石证据。此次来华主要与南京古生物所中生代昆虫研究团队联合开展黎巴嫩琥珀生物群和缅甸琥珀生物群的对比研究。
